US- and Scandy shows coming upTobias starts touring in Scandinavia – in his hometown Stockholm – on October 14th with a show at the beautiful Södra Teatern. It´s a double headline show together with Peter Morén of Peter Bjorn and John. After a couple of scandy gigs, Tobias heads over to the US and starts touring there together with Ane Brun and Theresa Andersson. A new radio mix is also born. Björn Yttling of Peter Bjorn and John has re-mixed Just behind a brickwall. Going out to radio soon. Fantastic reviews on Turn HeadsTobias´ first album “For Elisabeth wherever she is” (2004) was nominated for a swedish indie grammy. The follow up “Somewhere in the city” (2006) made music magazine The Word (UK) write that “it might be one of the best records ever made” and now it is Turn Heads´ turn to get fantastic reviews. Spin magazine (US) lists “Just behind a brick wall” with Peter Morén as “a song you have to download right now”, Sonic magazine (Swedens biggest and most influencual music magazine) gives Turn heads 9 out of 10 and calls it one of the best swedish pop albums in 15 years and Dagens Nyheter (Swedens biggest daily morning paper) rates it as a 4 out of 5. And, if you live in Norway and have seen the new Toyota commercial, you have heard the song “Don´t worry bout a thing” from Tobias´debut album. Back to workEEEEEEEEEE… as women from the nothern parts of England say. Just returning from the beautiful region of Tuscany, Italy (eating and drinking fantasticly well), I feel like I have´nt been working for years. It´s time to do it now. It´s time to throw the hat, to take a shower, to shrug my shoulders, to get out of bed, to find the keys, to knit the shoes. Well, you get the picture. Looking forward to go to the US and Canada again. Looking forward to play live and to travel and looking forward to meet people I´ve met before and people I have´nt met before. So, hope to see you soon! |
